To set up the TONOR TC-777 USB microphone on your computer, follow these steps:
1. For Apple macOS:
- Plug the TC-777 mic into your computer to indicate that it is receiving power. The computer will automatically recognize the USB device and install a driver.
- Select "TONOR TC-777 Audio Device" as your audio input by opening "System Preferences" and clicking on "Sound".
- In the Sound preference pane, go to the Input tab and choose "TONOR TC-777 Audio Device" as the device for sound input.
- If you want to monitor your voice, open any recording software (e.g., GarageBand) and enable the "Monitoring" option before clicking "Record". If the computer doesn't recognize the USB device, restart your computer and try plugging the mic into a different USB port.
2. For Windows:
- Wait for a few seconds when using the microphone for the first time, as the driver needs time to install automatically (there may be no pop-up window or message).
- After installation, test the mic by speaking into it. If there is no sound, follow these steps:
- Right-click the speaker icon at the bottom right of the screen and click "Sounds".
- Make sure the loudspeaker is turned on.
- Select the loudspeaker you are using, go to "Properties" and then "Levels". Adjust the output volume using the progress bar.
- Go to the "Recording" tab and choose "TONOR TC-777 Audio Device" as the default device. When you speak into the mic, the bar-type icon should turn green and bounce.
- If the issue persists, reset your computer and try plugging the mic into a different USB port. If the "TONOR TC-777 Audio Device" is still not recognized, contact TONOR After-sales Team at support@tonordirect.com.
- To monitor your recording, go to Microphone "Realtek High Definition Audio" and enable the "Listen" option by clicking "Listen to this device" and applying the changes.
