To set and hold the water temperature on the BonaVita BV382510V kettle, follow these steps:
1. Fill the kettle with cold water to the desired level.
2. Plug the kettle into a standard wall outlet.
3. Press the power-on button to turn on the kettle. The power-on indicator light will illuminate.
4. Use the °F/°C button to select the desired temperature scale (Fahrenheit or Celsius).
5. Press the Shut off Temperature Set Button to set the shut-off temperature. The last shut-off temperature will flash on the display.
6. Use the + or - button to adjust the shut-off temperature to your desired setting.
7. Once the display stops flashing, the temperature is set, and the display will show the current water temperature.
8. If you want to use one of the preset shut-off temperatures, press the Shut off Temperature Set Button repeatedly until your desired preset temperature is displayed.
9. To activate the water temperature hold function, press the Hold Temperature button. The last set hold temperature will flash on the display, and the hold indicator LED light will be lit.
10. When the set temperature is reached, the heater will turn on and off as needed to maintain the set temperature. The power-on indicator light will remain on, and the display will show the current water temperature.
11. When you lift the kettle to pour and then return it to the base, press the Hold Temperature button again within 5 seconds if you want to continue the hold temperature function. If you don't press the button within 5 seconds, the display will show the current water temperature for 7 minutes and then the unit will power off.
12. To manually interrupt the boiling process at any time, press the on/off button. The heater and LED lights will shut off.
