To set up the GL.iNet GL-MT300N-V2 Portable Mini VPN Router for the first time, follow these steps:
1. Plug in the power and connect the internet cable.
- Connect the included Micro USB power wire to the router.
- Connect the other end of the power wire to a power source.
- Connect an internet cable to the WAN port of the router.
2. Connect to the router via Wi-Fi or LAN.
- The router will broadcast a Wi-Fi signal with the SSID: GL-XXXXX-xxx.
- Use the default Wi-Fi password "a good life" or find it printed on the bottom of the router.
- Alternatively, you can connect to the router using a LAN cable.
3. Set up the router.
- Open a web browser and visit http://192.168.8.1.
- Choose your preferred language.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup process.
4. Configure internet settings.
- After setting up the router, you will see the main web interface.
- Find the Internet Settings icon and click the New Connection button.
- Choose the appropriate connection method: Cable (WAN), Repeater, 3G modem, or Tethering.
- Follow the instructions for each connection method to configure the settings.
