To set up the YI Y25 1080p Smart Security IP Camera, follow these steps:
1. Install the YI Home App: Download and install the YI Home App on your smartphone or tablet. Create a YI Home Account if you don't have one already.
2. Power the Camera: Connect the camera to a power source using the provided power adapter and cable. Ensure that it is properly plugged in and receiving power.
3. Connect to Wi-Fi: Open the YI Home App and tap the '+' icon to add a new device. Choose "Connect to Wi-Fi" and follow the on-screen instructions to select your Wi-Fi network and enter the password.
4. Scan QR Code: After selecting your Wi-Fi network, the app will display a QR code. Hold the QR code in front of the camera lens until it is scanned. The camera will make a sound to indicate successful pairing.
5. Complete Pairing: Once the QR code is scanned, select "Next" in the app. To complete the pairing process, choose "Start using" after selecting "Save".
If the connection is unsuccessful, you can press the Reset button on the camera and try again. Make sure you have a 2.4GHz band network connection, as the YI Home cameras do not support 5GHz. Also, ensure that you have selected the appropriate encryption mode (WPA/WPA2 or WPA2) and that your Wi-Fi password is 8 to 20 characters long.
