To connect the Avantree HT5009 headphones to your TV, follow these steps:
1. Check your TV's audio output options: Before connecting the transmitter, make sure to check the audio output options on your TV. The available options may include Optical Out, Headphone Out, or Red/White Audio Out (RCA).
2. Connect the transmitter to your TV:
- If your TV has Optical Out: Use the provided Optical cable to connect the transmitter and TV. Make sure the "OPT" LED on the transmitter is lit. Set your TV's Sound Out/Speaker setting to "External Speaker" or "Optical audio out" and the Audio Format/Digital Sound Out setting to "PCM" or set the Dolby/DTS Digital setting to "OFF".
- If your TV has Headphone Out: Use the provided AUX cable to connect the transmitter and TV. Ensure the "AUX" LED on the transmitter is on. If not, press the button once. Set the Sound Out/Speaker setting on your TV to "Wired headphones" or "Headset".
- If your TV has Red/White Audio Out (RCA): Use the AUX cable and 3.5mm to RCA Audio Cable to connect the transmitter and TV. Ensure the "AUX" LED on the transmitter is on. If not, press the button once. Set the Sound Out/Speaker setting on your TV to "External Speaker".
3. Power on the transmitter and headphones:
- Power up the transmitter by connecting it to your TV's USB port or any other power source that supports 5V/500mA-2A via the provided USB cable. Slide the Mode switch on the transmitter to the "TX" position to turn it on.
- Slide the power switch on the headphones to the middle position. The LED indicator on the headphones will flash blue, and you will hear "Welcome to Avantree" from the headphones.
- Wait for a few seconds until the headphones automatically reconnect. Once connected, you will hear "Connected" from the headphones, and the A LED on the transmitter will be lit.
4. Test the audio: Play audio on your TV to test if the headphones are properly connected. Adjust the volume on the headphones as needed.
