To set up the MOTOROLA MG7540 16x4 Cable Modem, follow these steps:
1. Connect the coaxial cable from your cable wall outlet to the "CABLE IN" port on the back of the modem.
2. Connect the power adapter to the modem and plug it into a power outlet.
3. Connect one end of an Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port on the back of the modem, and the other end to your computer or router.
4. Wait for the modem to power on and establish a connection with your internet service provider (ISP). This may take a few minutes.
5. Once the modem is connected, open a web browser on your computer and type "192.168.0.1" in the address bar. Press Enter.
6. You will be prompted to enter a username and password. The default username is "admin," and the default password is "motorola." Enter these credentials and click "Login."
7. Follow the on-screen instructions to configure your modem settings, such as selecting your internet service provider and entering any necessary login information.
8. Save your settings and restart the modem.
