To adjust the chain tension on the BLACK+DECKER LCS1020 20V MAX Cordless Chainsaw, follow these steps:
1. Ensure the chainsaw is turned off and disconnected from any power source.
2. Locate the chain tensioning xxxx on the side of the chainsaw near the bar.
3. Hold the bar and rotate the chain tensioning xxxx clockwise to increase tension or counterclockwise to decrease tension.
4. Check the chain tension by pulling the chain away from the guide bar with light tension. The chain should snap back into place when released.
5. Continue adjusting the chain tension until it is neither too tight nor too loose. The proper tension allows the chain to rotate smoothly around the guide bar.
6. Once the desired tension is achieved, tighten the locking xxxx to secure the chain tension in place.
7. Always wear protective gloves when handling the chain to prevent injury.
