To connect the Microsoft WL3-00100 Xbox Wireless Controller to your Xbox console, follow these steps:
1. Turn on your Xbox console and make sure it is within range of the controller (up to 19.7 feet or 6 meters).
2. Press and hold the Xbox button on the controller to turn it on. The Xbox button is located in the center of the controller, between the Menu and View buttons.
3. On your Xbox console, press the Connect button. The location of the Connect button depends on the model of your Xbox console:
- For Xbox Series X|S: Press the Pair button on the front of the console, next to the USB port.
- For Xbox One (original model): Press the Connect button on the side of the console, near the disc tray.
- For Xbox One S and Xbox One X: Press the Connect button on the front of the console, near the USB port.
4. Within 20 seconds of pressing the Connect button on the console, press and hold the Connect button on the controller. The Connect button is located on the top edge of the controller, next to the USB port.
5. The Xbox button on the controller will blink rapidly, indicating that it is searching for a connection. The Xbox console will also show a blinking light on the Connect button.
6. Once the controller and console are connected, the Xbox button on the controller will stay lit, and the light on the Connect button on the console will stop blinking.
7. Test the controller by pressing buttons or moving the thumbsticks. The controller should now be fully connected and ready to use with your Xbox console.
Note: If the controller does not connect successfully, try repeating the steps above or consult the user manual for troubleshooting tips.
