To connect the Orbit 21004 B-hyve smart hose faucet timer to Wi-Fi, please follow these steps:
1. Power your Wi-Fi hub: Plug the Wi-Fi hub into an indoor outlet.
2. Pair your hub: Open the B-hyve app on your smart device and follow the wizard to guide you through the pairing process. Choose an indoor location for your hub near the outside location of your timer and within range of Wi-Fi. Avoid areas where the signal must travel through more than one wall, dirt, or thick steel barriers.
3. Insert two AA batteries: Open the battery tray on your timer and insert two alkaline AA batteries according to the drawings located in the tray. Firmly reinstall the battery tray back into the timer.
4. Put the timer in pairing mode: Your timer is now in pairing mode and will flash a blue light every 5 seconds. You will also hear two clicks about 6 seconds apart, which is normal and ensures the valve is closed before you turn on the water.
5. Connect to Bluetooth: If you remove or change the batteries, you will need to reconnect to Bluetooth to set the correct time and date.
6. Connect to Wi-Fi: In the B-hyve app, go to Settings > Devices > Device > Wi-Fi Setup. Follow the on-screen instructions to connect your timer to your Wi-Fi network.
7. Test the connection: Once connected, you can test the Wi-Fi connection by controlling your timer from the app. Make sure you have internet access and try operating the timer remotely.
