To adjust the temperature on the BLACK+DECKER BHDC201 Portable Space Heater, follow these steps:
1. Turn the thermostat xxxx clockwise (right) direction until it reaches the maximum setting (+).
2. The xxxx needs to be turned past the minimum setting (–) until you hear a clicking noise in order to operate the Fan Only, "I" Low Heat, or "II" High Heat Settings.
3. Turn the heat control xxxx clockwise (right) from the position to the "I" (Low 750 watts) or "II" (High 1500 watts) Heat settings.
4. The power indicator light turns on when either the FAN, LOW, or HIGH setting is selected.
5. When the desired temperature/comfort level is reached, lower the thermostat xxxx until the heater stops operating. The thermostat will automatically maintain the desired temperature level by cycling the heater on and off.
6. Turning the TEMPERATURE control xxxx clockwise will increase the temperature setting.
7. To shut off the unit, turn the fan/heat control xxxx to the "OFF" position.
