To set the static correction level on the PetSafe PIF-275-19 Wireless Pet Containment System Receiver Collar, follow these steps:
1. Remove the clear plastic cover on the receiver collar to expose the correction level button.
2. With the battery installed, press and release the correction level button. The receiver LED indicator light will light up.
3. The receiver LED indicator light will emit a series of flashes, indicating the current static correction level.
4. To increase the static correction level, press and release the correction level button within 5 seconds of the previous series of flashes.
5. After setting the desired static correction level, replace the cover to protect the correction level button.
The static correction levels range from 1 to 6, with level 1 being the lowest and level 6 being the highest. Pushing the correction level button while the receiver collar is on level 6 will cause it to revert back to level 1.
It is important to choose the static correction level that best fits your pet's temperament and training needs. Refer to the Function and Response Table in the manual to determine the appropriate level. Always start with a lower level and gradually increase if necessary.
Note: The receiver indicator light also acts as a low battery indicator. It will flash every 4 to 5 seconds when the battery needs to be replaced.
