To connect the Monoprice 38037 SB-200SW Soundbar to your TV, you have a few options depending on the available ports on your TV. Here are the step-by-step instructions for each connection method:
1. HDMI ARC:
- Ensure that your TV supports HDMI ARC (Audio Return Channel) and that it is enabled in your TV's settings.
- Using a high-speed HDMI cable (not included), plug one end into the HDMI ARC port on the soundbar and the other end into the HDMI ARC output on your TV.
- The soundbar should automatically detect the HDMI ARC connection and start playing audio from your TV.
2. Optical:
- Locate the digital optical audio output on your TV.
- Using a digital optical audio cable (not included), plug one end into the optical output on your TV and the other end into the optical input on the soundbar.
- Set your TV's audio output to use the optical connection.
- The soundbar should now play audio from your TV.
3. Coaxial:
- Locate the digital coaxial audio output on your TV.
- Using a digital coaxial audio cable (not included), plug one end into the coaxial output on your TV and the other end into the coaxial input on the soundbar.
- Set your TV's audio output to use the coaxial connection.
- The soundbar should now play audio from your TV.
4. AUX:
- Locate the headphone or audio output on your TV.
- Using a 3.5mm to 3.5mm audio cable (included), plug one end into the headphone or audio output on your TV and the other end into the AUX input on the soundbar.
- Set your TV's audio output to use the headphone or audio output.
- The soundbar should now play audio from your TV.
