To connect your digital audio source to the Monoprice 106884, you will need either an optical (Toslink) cable or a coaxial (RCA) cable, depending on the available output on your source device.
1. If your source device has an optical (Toslink) audio output:
- Locate the optical audio output on your source device. It is usually labeled "Optical" or "Toslink."
- Connect one end of the optical cable to the optical audio output on your source device.
- Connect the other end of the optical cable to the optical input on the Monoprice 106884. The optical input is labeled "OPTICAL IN" on the converter.
2. If your source device has a coaxial (RCA) audio output:
- Locate the coaxial audio output on your source device. It is usually labeled "Coaxial" or "Digital Audio Out."
- Connect one end of the coaxial cable to the coaxial audio output on your source device.
- Connect the other end of the coaxial cable to the coaxial input on the Monoprice 106884. The coaxial input is labeled "COAXIAL IN" on the converter.
Once you have made the appropriate connection between your digital audio source and the Monoprice 106884, you can proceed to connect your analog audio devices, such as stereo systems or headphones, to the converter using standard RCA cables or a 3.5mm audio cable.
