To connect your laptop to the Promethean PRM-20 projector, follow these steps:
1. Identify the video output port on your laptop. Most laptops have either an HDMI or VGA port.
2. Check the available inputs on the projector. The PRM-20 supports HDMI, VGA, Composite, and S-Video inputs.
3. If your laptop has an HDMI port:
a. Use an HDMI cable to connect the HDMI port on your laptop to the HDMI input on the projector.
b. Make sure the projector is set to the HDMI input source.
4. If your laptop has a VGA port:
a. Use a VGA cable to connect the VGA port on your laptop to the VGA input on the projector.
b. Make sure the projector is set to the VGA input source.
5. If your laptop has neither an HDMI nor VGA port:
a. Check if your laptop has a different video output port, such as DisplayPort or USB-C.
b. Use the appropriate adapter or cable to connect your laptop's video output port to one of the available inputs on the projector (HDMI, VGA, Composite, or S-Video).
c. Make sure the projector is set to the corresponding input source.
6. Once the laptop and projector are connected, turn on both devices.
7. On your laptop, go to the display settings and select the appropriate display mode (e.g., "Duplicate" or "Extend") to enable the projector as a secondary display.
8. Adjust the projector's focus and keystone correction, if necessary, to ensure a clear and properly aligned projection.
9. Play your presentation on your laptop, and it should be displayed on the Promethean PRM-20 projector.
