When connecting multiple Pyle PHSP30TA speakers together, it is important to pay attention to the polarity to ensure proper sound quality and level reproduction. Here are the steps to connect them:
1. For low-impedance connection: The total impedance of the speakers should be equal to the output impedance of the amplifier. Make sure to connect the speakers in parallel with the same polarity.
2. For high-impedance connection: Connect the speakers to equal the total input power (wattage) to the output power of the amplifier. This is called impedance matching. Again, make sure to connect the speakers in parallel with the same polarity.
3. If long wiring is required (more than 50 meters), it is recommended to use a matching transformer and a proper high impedance setup to avoid power loss and inefficient speaker operation.
4. When setting the power tap switch, make sure to use the proper positions for either 70V systems to prevent horn damage. This applies to PHSP1 OTA, PHSP1 STA, and PHSP30TA models.
Please refer to the user manual for more detailed instructions and illustrations on connecting multiple speakers and changing impedance.
