To connect the Rockville RockShelf V2 bookshelf speakers to your amplifier or receiver, follow these steps:
1. Make sure your amplifier or receiver is compatible with 4 or 8-ohm speakers.
2. Use 16-gauge wire if your speakers are relatively close to the signal source (50 feet or less). For longer distances, 12 or 14-gauge wire is recommended.
3. Observe proper polarity by connecting the wire from the red speaker terminal to the red or positive terminal of the signal source, and the wire from the black speaker terminal to the black or negative terminal of the signal source.
4. The RockShelf V2 speakers feature 5-way binding posts that can accept various types of connections:
- Banana plugs: Insert the plugs into the open end of the binding post.
- Spade terminals: Place the terminals around the metal post and clamp them with the xxxx -down cap.
- Looped wire: Wrap the wire around the binding post and clamp it with the xxxx -down cap.
- Straight wire: Insert the wire into the hole drilled through the bottom of the binding post and clamp it down with the xxxx cap.
- Pin connectors: Insert the connectors into the hole drilled through the bottom of the binding post and clamp them down with the xxxx cap.
