To connect the Theater Solutions TS6DV 6 Zone Speaker Selector to your amplifier or receiver, follow these steps:
1. Make sure your amplifier or receiver is turned off before starting the wiring process.
2. Use a wire stripper to strip 3/8" of insulation from the end of the wire that you will be using for the connections. Be careful not to strip too much insulation to avoid short circuits or amplifier damage.
3. Tightly twist the end of the wire to ensure there are no frayed wires.
4. Unplug the connectors from the connector block on the back panel of the speaker selector for wiring convenience. Verify that there are no wire frays.
5. Insert the stripped end of the wire into the corresponding terminal xxxx on the TS6DV speaker selector. Use a small screwdriver to tighten the terminal xxxx securely.
6. Connect the wires from the speaker output of your amplifier or receiver to the TS6DV terminals marked "AMPLIFIER." Pay attention to the polarity and connect the "+" output from the right front output on the amplifier to the right "+" input on the TS6DV. Similarly, connect the "-" output from your amplifier to the "-" input on the TS6DV. Repeat this process for the left channel wires.
7. Connect the wires from each of the speakers to the corresponding connection on the TS6DV speaker selector.
8. If you are using a second amplifier, connect it to the "AMP B" terminal on the back panel of the speaker selector.
9. Plug the connectors back into the unit, ensuring they are plugged in correctly and not shifted over one pin.
10. Once the connections are complete, you can turn on your amplifier or receiver and test the speaker selector by selecting one speaker pair located closest to the room where you are operating the TS6DV. Make sure sound is coming from both speakers before turning on additional speakers.
