To connect the Rockville RV8.1A subwoofer enclosure+mono amplifier to your car's electrical system, follow these steps:
1. Connecting to the Power Grid:
- Connect the power wire from the positive terminal of your car's battery to the "BATT+" or "12V+" terminal on the amplifier.
- Connect the negative end of the power wire to a good chassis ground in your vehicle, labeled as "GND" or "Ground" on the amplifier.
2. Connection for Remote Turn-On:
- Connect the remote wire from your head unit or a dedicated remote turn-on output on your car radio to the "REM" or "Remote" terminal on the amplifier. This will allow the amplifier to turn on and off remotely.
3. Connection for RCA Input:
- Connect the RCA output of your car radio to the RCA input on the RV8.1A amplifier using a shielded RCA cable. Most car stereos have RCA outputs labeled "Subwoofer Out" or "Sub Out".
4. Speaker Connection to the Output:
- Connect the subwoofer driver to the speaker output terminals on the amplifier. The amplifier should have positive (+) and negative (-) terminals. Attach the wires from the subwoofer driver to the corresponding terminals.
5. Installation of the Fuse:
- Place a suitable fuse in the power wire close to the battery connection to protect the amplifier and the vehicle's electrical system from malfunctions.
