To connect the CMP31 RAM3+ Remote Control to your compatible marine radio, follow these steps:
1. Connect the Extension Cable to the 8-pin connector on the rear panel of the transceiver.
2. Tighten the Cable Nut to secure the connection.
3. Attach the supplied ferrite core to the MIC plug of the Routing Cable and External Speaker Connections. Snap the two halves of the ferrite core together and wrap plastic tape around it to prevent vibration.
4. Make a 1.2" (30 mm) hole in the wall and insert the Extension Cable into the hole.
5. Connect the Gasket and Mount Base to the Extension Cable Connector using the Nut.
6. Drill four xxxx holes on the wall and install the Mounting Bracket using the screws.
7. Put the Rubber Cap on the Nut.
8. Connect the RAM3+ (CMP31) to the Extension Cable Connector and tighten the Cable Nut.
Note: Before cutting the cable, it must be disconnected from the rear panel of the transceiver. The routing cable can be cut and spliced, but care must be taken to ensure water integrity when reconnecting the wires.
