To measure voltage with the Fluke 115 True-RMS Digital Multimeter, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that the multimeter is set to the appropriate voltage range. The Fluke 115 can measure both AC and DC voltage up to 600 volts.
2. Insert the black test lead into the COM (common) jack on the multimeter.
3. Insert the red test lead into the VΩ (voltage/ohms) jack on the multimeter.
4. Turn on the multimeter by rotating the rotary switch to the V (voltage) position.
5. Touch the black test lead to the negative (-) terminal or ground point of the circuit you want to measure.
6. Touch the red test lead to the positive (+) terminal or the point in the circuit where you want to measure the voltage.
7. Read the voltage value displayed on the multimeter's screen. Make sure to note whether it is AC or DC voltage.
8. If necessary, adjust the rotary switch to a higher voltage range to get a more accurate reading.
9. After taking the measurement, remove the test leads from the circuit.
