To set the alarm on the Emerson CKS1708 SmartSet Alarm Clock Radio, follow these steps:

1. Make sure the radio is turned off by pressing the RADIO ON/OFF button.

2. Press and hold either the AL 1 or AL 2 button to select the alarm you want to set.

3. While holding the AL 1 or AL 2 button, press the TIME SET/TUNE ▲ button to set the desired wake-up time. The AM indicator will indicate whether the wake-up time is set for AM or PM.

4. Release the AL 1 or AL 2 button to confirm the wake-up time.
