To connect your TCL 6100 Channel Sound Bar with Dolby Audio to your TV, you have multiple options depending on the available connections on your TV. Here are the steps for each connection method:
1. HDMI ARC (Audio Return Channel):
- Make sure your TV supports HDMI ARC. Check the user manual of your TV for confirmation.
- Connect one end of an HDMI cable to the HDMI ARC input connector on your Sound Bar.
- Connect the other end of the HDMI cable to the HDMI ARC output connector on your TV.
- On your TCL TV remote, press the Settings button.
- Navigate to System options.
- Set T-Link (or similar feature name) to On. This enables the HDMI ARC functionality.
2. Optical Cable:
- Remove the protective caps from the optical cable if necessary.
- Connect one end of the optical cable to the optical input connector on your Sound Bar.
- Connect the other end of the optical cable to the optical output connector on your TV.
- On your TCL TV remote, press the Home button.
- Navigate to the Audio option under Settings.
- Uncheck the "TV speaker enabled" option.
- Under S/PDIF and ARC, select PCM-Stereo.
3. 3.5mm-to-3.5mm Audio Cable:
- Connect one end of a 3.5mm-to-3.5mm audio cable to the AUX input connector on your Sound Bar.
- Connect the other end of the audio cable to the headphone or audio output connector on your TV.
- Alternatively, you can use an RCA-to-3.5mm audio cable by connecting one end to the AUX input connector on your Sound Bar and the other end to the TV's audio output connectors.
After connecting the Sound Bar to your TV using one of the above methods, make sure to mute the audio on your TV and adjust the volume using the Sound Bar's remote control or top panel buttons. Refer to the user manual for further information on using the Sound Bar and adjusting sound settings.
Please note that the specific steps may vary depending on your TV model and Sound Bar setup. It's always recommended to consult the user manual of your TV and Sound Bar for accurate instructions.
