To connect the REL Acoustics HT/1205 MKII Subwoofer Speaker to your audio system, you have two options depending on your setup.
1. Theater Connection (Sub Out Connection):
- Use an RCA cable to connect the Sub Out of your theater processor to the LFE input of the HT/1205 MKII subwoofer.
- Adjust the LEVEL control to around 10 o'clock.
- Set the CROSSOVER control to LFE (maximum).
- Plug in the AC cord and turn on the subwoofer using the switch next to the AC input.
- Fine-tune the LEVEL control using a known powerful .1 chapter to ensure the setting is not too high.
- Adjust the CROSSOVER control lower if there is upper bass boom.
2. Stereo Connection (Powered Speaker Connection):
- Connect an RCA cable from the output of your audio source to the right input of the HT/1205 MKII subwoofer for mono or both left and right inputs for stereo.
- Adjust the LEVEL control to around 10 o'clock.
- Set the CROSSOVER control to around 10 o'clock.
- Plug in the AC cord and turn on the subwoofer using the switch next to the AC input.
- Fine-tune the LEVEL control to blend with your powered speakers.
- Fine-tune the CROSSOVER control to achieve a seamless blend.
Note: It's important to switch off your audio system before disconnecting any wires. Additionally, refer to the user manual for more detailed instructions and illustrations on connecting and setting up the HT/1205 MKII subwoofer.
