To set up the TP-Link RE715X AX3000 WiFi 6 Range Extender, please follow these steps:
1. Find a suitable location: Place the range extender within the range of your existing WiFi router. Make sure it is placed in an area where it can receive a strong WiFi signal from the router.
2. Power on the range extender: Plug the range extender into a power outlet near your router.
3. Connect to the range extender: On your computer or mobile device, go to the WiFi settings and connect to the network named "TP-Link_Extender_XXXXXX" (XXXXXX represents the last six characters of the range extender's MAC address).
4. Open a web browser: Launch a web browser and enter "http://tplinkrepeater.net" or "http://192.168.0.254" in the address bar. Press Enter.
5. Log in to the range extender: If prompted, enter the default username and password (both are "admin" by default) to log in to the range extender's web management interface.
6. Select your WiFi network: On the Quick Setup page, choose your existing WiFi network from the list of available networks and click "Next."
7. Enter the WiFi password: Enter the password for your WiFi network and click "Next."
8. Configure the extended network: Choose a network name (SSID) and password for the extended network. You can also select the same network name and password as your existing WiFi network for seamless roaming. Click "Next" to continue.
9. Review the settings: On the Summary page, review the settings you have entered. If everything looks correct, click "Finish" to complete the setup.
10. Connect to the extended network: Once the range extender restarts, connect your devices to the extended network using the new network name and password you set up.
