The standby time for the battery in the Jegoteer KF04E Remote Control Finder is typically 8-10 months. However, the actual battery life may vary depending on how often you use the device and the quality of the AAA batteries you use for the transmitter. When it's time to replace the battery, you can easily find a replacement AAA battery at most stores that sell batteries. Simply open the tag of the receiver using the provided pry opener button, insert the new battery with the positive side facing out, and then close the tag.
