To set up the Netgear R6100 router, follow these steps:
1. Connect your modem to the router's WAN (Internet) port using an Ethernet cable.
2. Connect your computer to any of the router's LAN ports using another Ethernet cable.
3. Power on the modem and wait for it to establish a connection.
4. Power on the router and wait for the power LED to turn solid white.
5. On your computer, open a web browser and enter "www.routerlogin.net" or "www.routerlogin.com" in the address bar.
6. You will be prompted to enter the default username and password. The default username is "admin" and the default password is "password". If you have changed these credentials before, use the updated login information.
7. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup process. You will be prompted to set up a new WiFi network name (SSID) and password.
8. Once the setup is complete, you can connect your devices to the new WiFi network using the SSID and password you set up.
