To set up the NETGEAR WNDR4300v2 router, follow these steps:
1. Attach the router stand to the router by orienting the router vertically and inserting the tabs of the stand into the slots on the bottom of the router.
2. Prepare and connect your modem by unplugging its power and removing the battery if applicable. Plug in your modem and connect it to the router's yellow Internet port using a cable.
3. Power on the router and wait for the Power LED to light solid green. If the Power LED does not light, press the Power On/Off button. Wait for the 2.4 GHz LED to light solid green.
4. Connect a device to the router by using an Ethernet cable to connect your computer to a LAN port on the router. Alternatively, you can use Wi-Fi to connect your Wi-Fi device to the router using the Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password provided on the product label.
5. Log in to the router by launching a web browser and entering www.routerlogin.net in the address field. If prompted, enter "admin" for the username and the password provided on the product label. Follow the on-screen instructions to connect to the internet.
6. Optionally, you can download the free NETGEAR genie app from www.NETGEAR.com/genie to easily share media, files, and printers on the network from your smartphone, tablet, or laptop.
