To set up the Tenda AC2100 Dual Band Gigabit WiFi Router for the first time, follow these steps:
1. Connect the router to your modem: Use an Ethernet cable to connect the WAN port on the router to the LAN port on your modem.
2. Power on the router: Plug the power adapter into the router and connect it to a power outlet. The router will start booting up.
3. Connect to the router: Use a computer or mobile device to connect to the WiFi network named "Tenda_XXXXXX" (XXXXXX represents the last six characters of the router's MAC address).
4. Access the router's web interface: Open a web browser and enter "http://tendawifi.com" or "http://192.168.0.1" in the address bar. Press Enter to access the router's web interface.
5. Log in to the router: Enter the default username and password. The default username is "admin" and the default password is also "admin". Click on the "Login" button.
6. Configure the router: Follow the on-screen instructions to set up your WiFi network name (SSID) and password. You can also configure other settings such as security, parental controls, and guest network.
7. Save the settings: Once you have configured the desired settings, click on the "Save" or "Apply" button to save the changes.
8. Test the connection: Disconnect from the "Tenda_XXXXXX" network and connect to your newly configured WiFi network. Verify that you have internet connectivity.
