To set up the Linksys EA6100 router, follow these steps:
1. Connect the router to your modem: Use an Ethernet cable to connect the router's Internet port to the modem's Ethernet port.
2. Power on the router: Plug the power adapter into the router and connect it to a power outlet.
3. Connect your computer to the router: Use another Ethernet cable to connect your computer to one of the router's Ethernet ports.
4. Access the router's web-based setup page: Open a web browser on your computer and enter "http://linksyssmartwifi.com" or "http://192.168.1.1" in the address bar. Press Enter.
5. Create a Linksys Smart Wi-Fi account: If you don't have an account, click on "Create an Account" and follow the instructions to create one. If you already have an account, sign in with your credentials.
6. Follow the on-screen instructions: The setup wizard will guide you through the initial configuration process. You may need to select your Internet connection type (DHCP, PPPoE, Static IP) and enter the necessary details provided by your Internet Service Provider.
7. Customize your network settings: Set a unique network name (SSID) and password for your Wi-Fi network. You can also configure additional settings such as guest access, parental controls, and Quality of Service (QoS).
8. Save your settings: Once you have completed the setup process, click on "Save" or "Apply" to save your changes.
9. Disconnect the Ethernet cable: Once the setup is complete, disconnect the Ethernet cable from your computer and the router.
Your Linksys EA6100 router is now set up and ready to use. You can connect your devices to the Wi-Fi network using the network name and password you configured during the setup process.
