To set up the NETGEAR R6900 Nighthawk AC1900 Smart WiFi Router, follow these steps:
1. Connect the router to your modem using the included Ethernet cable. Plug one end of the cable into the yellow Internet port on the router and the other end into the Ethernet port on your modem.
2. Connect the power adapter to the router and plug it into a power outlet.
3. Wait for the router's power LED to turn solid white.
4. On your computer or mobile device, open a web browser and enter "www.routerlogin.net" or "www.routerlogin.com" in the address bar.
5. You will be prompted to enter the default username and password. The default username is "admin" and the default password is "password". If you have changed these credentials before, enter the updated username and password.
6. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup process. You will be asked to create a new password for the router and configure your wireless network settings.
7. Once the setup is complete, you can connect your devices to the wireless network using the SSID (network name) and password you set during the setup process.
