To install the Honeywell 51628-01 Contemporary LED Ceiling Fan, follow these steps:
1. Before beginning installation, disconnect the power by removing fuses or turning off the circuit breakers.
2. Choose the mounting option that suits your ceiling height and angle: Standard Mount, Angle Mount, Flushmount Installation, or Closemount Installation.
3. Select a suitable location for the fan, ensuring that there is a minimum of 7 feet from the blades to the floor and at least 30 inches from the tip of the blades to any obstruction.
4. Loosen all four mounting bracket screws and remove the two screws from the round holes in the canopy. Remove the mounting bracket from the canopy.
5. Install the mounting bracket to the outlet box using the screws and washers provided.
6. Remove the three fitter plate screws and packing material from the motor assembly. Discard the orange packing material.
7. For Standard or Angle Mount, remove the download clip and download pin from the download. Partially loosen the set screws in the yoke at the top of the motor assembly.
8. Feed the fan wires through the yoke cover, canopy, and download. Slide the download into the yoke of the motor assembly and secure with the downrod pin and download clip.
9. Cut the fan wires to the desired length and strip 1/2 inch of insulation from the end of each wire strand.
10. Install the ball end of the download into the opening of the mounting bracket. Insert the receiver into the opening of the mounting bracket.
11. For Closemount Installation, remove the canopy cover from the bottom of the canopy. Align the canopy with the holes in the top of the motor assembly and secure with close-mount screws.
12. Raise the motor assembly and place the canopy on the hook of the mounting bracket. Insert the receiver into the opening of the mounting bracket.
13. Connect the household supply and fan wires using wire connectors according to the provided diagram.
14. Align the canopy over the mounting bracket screws and rotate clockwise to secure.
15. Secure the canopy with the mounting bracket screws.
16. Install the blades by inserting the blade screws through the blade arm and blade, and secure with blade xxxx caps.
17. Attach the blade arms to the motor assembly using motor screws.
18. Connect the fitter plate to the light kit and secure with screws. Attach the lens cover to the light kit by twisting it clockwise.
19. Insert the battery into the remote transmitter and replace the battery cover.
20. Optional: Install the wall bracket for the remote.
21. Turn on the power to the fan at the breaker box and the wall switch.
