To connect the Monoprice 44437 HDMI Splitter with Audio Extraction, follow these steps:
1. Connect your HDMI source device, such as a DVD player or gaming console, to the HDMI IN port on the splitter using an HDMI cable.
2. Connect up to four HDMI display devices, such as televisions or monitors, to the HDMI OUT 1/2/3/4 ports on the splitter using HDMI cables.
3. If you want to extract audio from the HDMI input, you can connect an optical audio cable to the OPTICAL port on the splitter and connect it to an audio receiver or soundbar. Alternatively, you can connect an analog audio cable to the L/R port on the splitter and connect it to speakers or headphones.
4. Set the EDID DIP switch on the rear panel of the splitter to the desired EDID configuration. The EDID settings determine the supported video and audio formats. Refer to the user manual for the different EDID options and their corresponding switch positions.
5. Once all the connections are made, power on the splitter using the included power supply. The POWER LED on the front panel will indicate that the device is powered on.
6. The IN LED will light up when the HDMI IN port is connected to an active source device.
7. The OUT LEDs (1-4) will light up when the HDMI OUT 1/2/3/4 ports are connected to display devices and outputting a signal.
Please refer to the user manual for more detailed instructions and troubleshooting tips.
