To connect the Accell B086B-005B-2 mDP to HDMI adapter, follow these steps:
1. Make sure your Mini DisplayPort device (computer, laptop, etc.) has a Mini DisplayPort output, and the HDMI display (HDTV, monitor, projector) has an available HDMI input.
2. Turn off both the Mini DisplayPort device and the HDMI display before connecting them.
3. Connect the male end of the adapter (with the Mini DisplayPort connector) to the Mini DisplayPort output on your device.
4. Connect one end of an HDMI cable to the HDMI female connector on the adapter.
5. Connect the other end of the HDMI cable to the HDMI input port on the target HDMI display.
6. Turn on the HDMI display and navigate its input settings to select the correct HDMI source.
7. Start your Mini DisplayPort device (computer, laptop, etc.).
8. Check the display settings on your device's operating system (e.g., right-click on the desktop for Windows or go to "System Preferences" > "Displays" for macOS) to ensure the correct output is selected for the external display.
9. Verify that the connection is established by checking if the display of the Mini DisplayPort device appears on the HDMI display. If not, double-check the connections and display settings.
10. If audio is necessary, adjust the audio settings on the Mini DisplayPort device to route audio over the Mini DisplayPort connection.
