To connect the Earthquake Sound Supernova MKIV-10 Powered Subwoofer to your audio system, you have two options: high-level (speaker) connection or low-level (RCA) connection.
1. High-Level (Speaker) Connection:
- Identify the speaker that is closest to the subwoofer.
- Piggyback a wire from the speaker to the subwoofer's high-level input terminals (marked with red and black).
- Adjust the subwoofer's low pass filter cut-off to near 100Hz initially, and slowly bring down the crossing point until any vocals from the subwoofer are eliminated.
- If the subwoofer becomes out of phase with the satellite speaker, flip the phase switch to correct the problem.
2. Low-Level (RCA) Connection:
- Use RCA cables to connect the low-level output of your audio source (such as a receiver) to the subwoofer's low-level input.
- Adjust the subwoofer's low pass filter cut-off to your desired frequency range.
- If needed, connect the subwoofer's low-level output to another amplifier to drive satellite speakers.
Note: Do not use high-level and low-level inputs at the same time.
