To connect the Syba SY-ADA33027 DisplayPort Male to VGA Female Adapter to your computer and VGA display, follow these steps:
1. Make sure your computer and VGA display are turned off.
2. Locate the DisplayPort output on your computer. It is usually a small rectangular port labeled "DisplayPort."
3. Take the male end of the adapter (DisplayPort) and insert it into the DisplayPort output on your computer. Make sure it is firmly connected.
4. Locate the VGA input on your VGA display. It is usually a blue port labeled "VGA" or "RGB."
5. Take a VGA cable (not included) and connect one end to the female VGA connector on the adapter. Make sure it is securely connected.
6. Take the other end of the VGA cable and connect it to the VGA input on your VGA display. Again, ensure it is firmly connected.
7. If your DisplayPort source device has xxxx holes on both sides of the connection, you can use screws to further secure the adapter into position. This step is optional.
8. Power on your computer and VGA display.
9. Adjust the display settings on your computer if necessary. Depending on your operating system, you may need to expand or duplicate displays, modify resolutions, or adjust other settings.
10. After everything is connected and powered on, you should see the content from your computer displayed on the VGA monitor.
Please note that the adapter is designed for one-way conversion from DisplayPort to VGA and does not support VGA to DisplayPort conversion. Additionally, ensure that your DisplayPort source device is compatible with the adapter and can output video over its DisplayPort interface.
