To install the Leviton 47603-24P 24-Port Structured Media Panel, follow these step-by-step instructions:
1. Position the panel inside the Structured Media Center (SMC) enclosure or remove the plastic mounting hardware and xxxx the panel directly onto a plywood backboard.
2. Align the plastic Push Lock Pins on the distribution panel with the appropriate mounting holes on the enclosure. Seat the panel in place, resting flat against the back of the panel.
3. Press the Push Lock Pins inward with your thumb to lock the panel into place. You will hear a "click" sound when the push locks are secure.
4. Plan your cable routings carefully to ensure the selected distribution panel meets your requirements. Determine the number of outlet locations needed for basic phone, fax, modem, and TV service.

Strip 3 inches of the outer jacket from the cable and punch individual cable pairs down on the first white connector at the top of the module. Use the plastic tool supplied with the panel or a professional-grade termination tool. Terminate incoming twisted pair cables onto any of the nine remaining rows of connectors based on the desired phone line at each location.
9. To connect the 6-way Video Splitter, run coaxial cable from incoming cable TV service or a rooftop antenna to the splitter. Attach a male F-type connector onto the incoming cable and xxxx it onto the middle termination point (marked "IN") of the splitter. Terminate the coaxial cables coming from the wall outlets on the other six ports of the splitter.
