To program the Philips SRP6120R-27 Replacement Remote Control, please follow these steps:
1. Make sure the remote control has fresh batteries installed correctly. The battery compartment is located on the back of the remote. Press and slide the battery cover downward to remove it. Insert two AA batteries, matching the (+) and (-) polarity. Slide the battery cover back into place.
2. Aim the remote directly at the device you want to program (e.g., TV, DVD player) and make sure there are no obstructions between the remote and the device.
3. Find the device code for your specific device. Device codes are usually provided in the remote's manual. If you don't have the manual, you can also find codes online or through Philips' official support resources.
4. Once you have the device code, press and hold the SETUP button on the remote until the red light stays on.
5. Enter the device code using the number buttons on the remote. The red light will blink twice to confirm the code entry.
6. Test the remote by pressing the power button or other relevant buttons for your device. If the device responds, the programming is successful. If not, repeat steps 4-6 with a different device code until you find the correct one.
Note: If you cannot find a device code for your specific device, the SRP6120R-27 remote control also has a code search function. Follow the same steps as above, but instead of entering a specific code, press the POWER button repeatedly until the device turns off. Once the device turns off, press the OK button to save the code.
