To connect the SpeakerCraft SC-DX-EC6-DT in-Ceiling Dual-Tweeter Speaker to your amplifier or receiver, follow these steps:
1. Identify the speaker wire terminals on the in-ceiling speaker. Each speaker will have two sets of terminals, one for each tweeter.
2. The terminals will have a positive (+) and negative (-) connector. These connectors are standard components of every terminal.
3. Connect the speaker wires from each tweeter connector of the in-ceiling speaker to the appropriate terminals on your amplifier or receiver. Ensure that the polarity is matched correctly by connecting the positive (+) terminal of the speaker to the positive (+) terminal of the amplifier/receiver, and the negative (-) terminal of the speaker to the negative (-) terminal of the amplifier/receiver.
4. If you want stereo sound, you may need to connect each tweeter of the speakers to separate channels on the amplifier or receiver. This depends on your system setup. Alternatively, you can bridge the tweeters and connect them to a single channel to produce monophonic sound.
5. Once the connections are made, install the in-ceiling speaker in your ceiling according to the manufacturer's instructions.
6. To achieve a balanced volume between the tweeters, you may need to adjust the settings on your amplifier or receiver. This can be done by adjusting the balance or level controls for each channel.
7. After installation and connection, test the speakers using various audio sources to ensure they are delivering the anticipated sound. Check that both tweeters are functioning properly and balanced appropriately.
