To connect the Portta W3ACDAS Audio Converter Digital to Analog to your devices, follow these steps:
1. Identify the digital audio output on your TV. It is usually labeled as "Optical" or "Digital Audio Out" and has a square-shaped port.
2. Take the optical cable (Toslink) included with the converter and plug one end into the digital audio output on your TV.
3. Locate the optical input on the Portta W3ACDAS converter. It is labeled as "Optical In" and has a square-shaped port.
4. Connect the other end of the optical cable to the optical input on the converter.
5. Find the analog audio inputs on your old stereo system. These are typically RCA (red and white) input jacks labeled as "Audio In" or "Aux In."
6. Take the RCA cable (not included with the converter) and plug one end into the RCA output jacks on the converter. The red plug should go into the red jack, and the white plug should go into the white jack.
7. Connect the other end of the RCA cable to the analog audio inputs on your stereo system. Again, match the red plug to the red jack and the white plug to the white jack.
8. Ensure that the converter is powered on by plugging the included power adapter into the converter's power input port. Connect the other end of the power adapter to a power outlet.
9. Turn on your TV and stereo system.
10. Set your stereo system to the appropriate input source (e.g., "Aux" or "Audio In") to receive the audio signal from the converter.
11. Adjust the volume on both the TV and the stereo system to a comfortable level.
Your TV's digital audio signal should now be converted to analog audio and played through your old stereo system. Enjoy your digital audio content on your analog audio devices!
