To connect the AVInAir Spitfire Pro HDMI Extender to your devices, follow these step-by-step instructions:
1. Setup Transmitter:
a. Connect the HDMI output of your Blu-ray player to the HDMI input port on the Transmitter.
b. If desired, connect the IR output of your Blu-ray player to the IR input port on the Transmitter.
2. Setup Receiver:
a. Connect the HDMI output of your TV to the HDMI input port on the Receiver.
b. If desired, connect the IR output of your TV to the IR input port on the Receiver.
3. Connect the Transmitter and Receiver:
Use a CAT5e/6 cable (Ethernet cable) to connect the RJ45 (Ethernet) port on the Transmitter to the RJ45 port on the Receiver. This cable carries the HDMI signals between the two units.
4. Power On:
Plug the power adapter into both the Transmitter and Receiver units.
Make sure both units are powered on using the included power adapters.
5. IR Remote Control (Optional):
If you're using the bi-directional remote IR feature, ensure the IR receivers on both the Transmitter and Receiver are in the line of sight of the remote control you'll be using.
6. Enjoy Your Content:
Switch on your Blu-ray player and TV.
Use your remote control to navigate through your content. The AVInAir Spitfire Pro HDMI Extender will transmit the HDMI signals and control signals seamlessly between the Transmitter and Receiver.
7. Power Off and Disconnect:
When you're done using the extender, power off your Blu-ray player and TV.
Unplug the power adapters from both the Transmitter and Receiver.
