To measure AC voltage with the LJPXHHU XL830L Digital Multimeter, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that the multimeter is set to the correct measurement function. Rotate the switch to the V~ (AC voltage) position.
2. Insert the black test lead into the COM (common) jack and the red test lead into the VΩmA (volts, ohms, milliamps) jack.
3. Make sure the power outlet you want to measure is turned on and functioning.
4. Touch the metal tips of the test leads to the corresponding terminals of the power outlet. The black test lead should touch the neutral (N) terminal, and the red test lead should touch the live (L) terminal.
5. Read the measurement value displayed on the LCD screen. The unit of measurement will be in volts (V).
