To properly use the KONQUEST KBP-2910W Wrist Blood Pressure Monitor, follow these steps:
1. Install batteries: Open the battery compartment on the back of the monitor and insert the required batteries according to the polarity markings. Close the compartment securely.
2. Prepare for measurement: Remove any clothing or accessories from your wrist area to ensure accurate readings. Rest for several minutes in a relaxed position before testing.
3. Position the cuff: Wrap the cuff around your left wrist, making sure it is snug but not too tight. The cuff should be positioned approximately 1-2 centimeters above your wrist bone.
4. Proper positioning: Sit in a comfortable position with your back supported and your feet flat on the ground. Rest your left arm on a table or armrest, with your wrist level with your heart. This ensures accurate readings.
5. Start the measurement: Press the "START/STOP" button to start the testing process. The monitor will automatically inflate the cuff and begin measuring your blood pressure and pulse rate.
6. Reading display: The LCD display screen will show your systolic blood pressure (top number), diastolic blood pressure (bottom number), and pulse rate. It will also indicate the blood pressure classification based on WHO guidelines.
7. Memory function: The monitor has a memory button that allows you to view previous readings. Press the memory button to cycle through the stored results.
8. Irregular heartbeat detection: The monitor has an irregular heartbeat indicator that will alert you if an irregular heartbeat is detected during the measurement.
9. Health reminder: The manual emphasizes the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle and visiting your physician regularly to control hypertension and related diseases.
It is important to note that a single abnormal reading should not cause alarm. It is recommended to take 2-3 readings at the same time each day over an extended period of time to get a better indication of your blood pressure. If your test results consistently remain abnormal, consult your physician for further evaluation and guidance.
