To assemble the NASA 90x Lunar Telescope for Kids, follow these steps:
1. On a clean and level surface, arrange all the telescope kit's pieces and components, ensuring that you have every component listed in the instruction manual.
2. If your telescope includes a tripod or mount, assemble it according to the provided directions. Extend the tripod's legs to the necessary height and firmly fasten them in place.
3. Attach any required brackets or accessories to the tripod or mount as instructed.
4. Find the largest component of the telescope, which is typically the primary tube.
5. Align the mounting plate on the tripod or mount with the mounting bracket on the telescope tube.
6. Carefully place the telescope tube onto the mounting plate and fasten it in place using the accompanying screws or clamps.
7. Ensure that the telescope tube is securely fastened and balanced correctly on the tripod or mount.
8. Locate the finder scope, which is a miniature telescope or sight used to point the primary telescope at specific targets.
9. Determine the rail or mounting bracket on the primary telescope tube to which the finder scope is attached.
10. Ensure that the mounting holes on the finder scope line up with the mounting holes on the main telescope tube.
11. Fasten the finder scope in place using screws or clamps, making sure it is parallel to the main telescope tube.
12. Depending on what you plan to observe, choose an appropriate eyepiece. The magnification is impacted by the varied focal lengths of the eyepieces.
13. Place the chosen eyepiece in the focuser, located at the back of the main telescope tube, and securely position it by twisting or locking it in place.
