To set up the GE On/Off Smart Plug with Smart Bridge and enable voice and out-of-home control, follow these steps:
1. Install the Smart Plug: Plug the Smart Plug into an electrical outlet. If you are pairing it with Smart Bulbs, install the bulbs in the same room as the Smart Plug.
2. Download the C by GE app: Download the C by GE app from your app store and install it on your smartphone.
3. Add the Smart Plug to the app: Open the C by GE app and follow the instructions to add the Smart Plug to the app. Make sure your smartphone is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the Smart Plug.
4. Add Smart Bulbs to the app: If you have Smart Bulbs, add them to the C by GE app in the same room as the Smart Plug. Follow the instructions in the app to add the bulbs.
5. Set up your voice assistant: Follow the instructions in the C by GE app to set up your voice assistant (Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant). This will allow you to control the Smart Plug and Smart Bulbs with your voice.
6. Enable out-of-home control: In the C by GE app, go to the settings for the Smart Plug and enable out-of-home control. This will allow you to control the Smart Plug and Smart Bulbs even when you are away from home, as long as your smartphone is connected to the internet.
Once you have completed these steps, you will be able to control your devices with your voice and from anywhere using the C by GE app.
