Connecting the NSI MC 1616 Lighting Console to NSI dimming equipment is simple. You will need a standard 3 conductor audio cable with a 3-pin XLR type connector. Follow these steps:
1. Locate the two jacks marked MICRO-PLEX on the rear apron of the console.
2. Connect one end of the audio cable to either of the MICRO-PLEX jacks. It doesn't matter which jack you use.
3. Connect the other end of the audio cable to your NSI dimming equipment.
4. Ensure that the connections are secure.
If your console is equipped with the optional DMX-512 output and you are using DMX-512 controlled dimmers, or if your microphone cable length exceeds 100 feet, you will need to use the DMX-512 output. Follow these additional steps:
1. Locate the 5-pin XLR type connector on the rear apron of the console.
2. Connect a 3-wire cable to the 5-pin XLR connector.
3. Connect the other end of the cable to your DMX-512 controlled dimmers.
4. If necessary, use the power supply provided with the DMX-512 option to power the console.
