To connect the Cable Matters 113046 HDMI to VGA Adapter to your computer, please follow these steps:
1. Connect the adapter to the HDMI port of your computer or other HDMI source.
2. Connect a VGA cable (sold separately) from the adapter to the VGA input of your display.
3. On the connected display, select the VGA input setting from the menu.
4. Adjust the video resolution and refresh rate of your computer to match the requirements of the HDMI source and the display. You can do this from the computer's video settings.
5. If you encounter a weak signal or no picture, try the following troubleshooting steps:
a. Power down all equipment.
b. Connect a Micro-USB cable from the adapter power port to a power source.
c. Connect the adapter to the HDMI source.
d. Connect the VGA cable to the display.
e. Power on the equipment.
Please note that the Cable Matters 113046 HDMI to VGA Adapter is not bi-directional and only converts the signal from HDMI to VGA. It supports video resolutions up to 1920x1080 @ 60 Hz. Audio is not supported over the analog VGA signal and must be transmitted separately. The adapter does not support HDCP for viewing copy-protected video from devices like Blu-ray players.
