To install the Valcom V-1450 Signature Series In-Wall Speaker, follow these steps:
1. Before cutting a hole in the wall, make sure to identify and locate any plumbing or electrical wiring in the area.
2. Use the provided cutout template to mark the outline of the cutout on the wall. Ensure that the speaker is centered between any wall studs.
3. Using the appropriate tool, cut a hole in the wall following the template outline.
4. Insert a small screwdriver tip between the grill and speaker to remove the grill from the front of the speaker assembly.
5. Assemble the speaker, mounting frame, and hardware as shown in the diagram. Do not tighten the frame completely.
6. After assembling the mounting frame, make connections to the terminal block. Insert stripped wire into the appropriate terminal and tighten with a screwdriver. Each connector accepts 18 to 24AWG wire.
7. With the tweeter on top, place the mounting bracket into the hole in the wall. Push the speaker assembly flush to the wall and slide it up 1/2 inch. Tighten the two center screws first, then tighten the remaining screws.
8. Set the volume control to 1/2 volume and test the speaker. Press the grill into the slot around the speaker assembly.
9. Exercise caution when handling the speaker assembly with the grill removed.
Please refer to the provided installation instructions for more detailed information and illustrations.
Note: It is important to follow the installation instructions carefully to ensure proper installation and avoid any damage to the speaker or the surrounding area.
