To set up the Hive HUB30120016 Smart Home Hub, follow these steps:
1. Connect your hub to your broadband router using the Ethernet cable provided in the box.
2. Connect your hub to a mains power socket using the power cable provided in the box.
3. Place the hub on a table or shelf, avoiding the floor or enclosed areas like cupboards for optimal performance.
4. Download the Hive app on your smartphone or tablet.
5. Open the app and log in with your Hive account details. If you don't have an account, you can create one by visiting hivehome.com/register.
6. Once logged in, select "Hub" or log in at hivehome.com and enter the hub ID when prompted. The hub ID is the ABC-123 formatted number located on the underside of the hub.
7. After entering the hub ID, your Hive hub will be activated and ready to use.
8. To pair your other Hive devices, tap on "Install devices" in the app or online dashboard.
Remember to keep your Hive hub plugged in and switched on for your Hive devices to work correctly.
