To connect the Amazon Basics CEHFAE0101 HDMI to HDMI Audio Extractor Converter to your devices, follow these steps:
1. Make sure all devices are switched off before connecting the cables.
2. Connect the HDMI In socket of the converter to the HDMI source device (e.g., Blu-ray player) using an HDMI cable.
3. Connect the HDMI Out socket of the converter to an HDMI monitor or projector using another HDMI cable.
4. Connect the Toslink or Coaxial socket of the converter to the input of an amplifier or stereo system using the appropriate cable.
5. Optionally, connect the Stereo Out socket of the converter to the input of an amplifier or stereo system using a 3.5mm audio cable.
6. Connect the DC plug to the DC/5V socket of the converter.
7. Connect the USB plug to a PC or a power adapter with a USB output to provide power to the converter.
Once all the connections are made, you can power on your devices and use the select button on the converter to toggle between different audio channel settings, such as 2.0 CH or 5.1 CH.
