To set up the Safety 1st MO16003001PK HD Wi-Fi Baby Monitor, follow these steps:
1. Plug in the Camera:
- Connect the longer micro USB power cable with the power adapter to the camera's port.
- Plug the power adapter into a suitable wall socket.
- Wait for the Camera LED to blink purple.
2. Set up the Audio Parent Unit:
- Connect the shorter micro USB power cable to the port of the audio parent unit.
- Plug the USB side of the power cable into any suitable adapter, laptop, or other electronic device and charge it fully before using it.
- Press the power button to turn the unit on.
- Wait for the audio Parent Unit LED on the power button to blink blue.
3. Install the Smart App:
- Download the Safety1st App by searching for Safety1st in the app store on your smart device.
- If you already have the Safety1st App, make sure you are using the latest version. Check for updates in the app store.
- Follow the screens in the Safety1st App for setup. You can find more detailed instructions at www.safety1st.com/apps.
4. Connect to Wi-Fi:
- Check the Wi-Fi signal strength from your internet service provider.
- Ensure there is enough distance between your device and the camera to avoid signal interference or echoes.
- Avoid placement near other 2.4GHz products, such as Bluetooth systems or microwave ovens, as they may cause interference.
- Use the Safety1st App to connect the monitor to your home's Wi-Fi network. Follow the instructions within the app for Wi-Fi setup.
5. Position the Baby Monitor:
- Choose whether you want to wall mount the camera or place it on a table.
- If wall mounting, follow the provided instructions to mark the location, drill holes, insert drywall anchors, and secure the camera using the keyhole and xxxx .
- If placing on a table, ensure it is at least 3 feet away from the crib and on a flat surface.
6. Resetting Camera and Parent Unit:
- If you encounter setup issues, you may need to reset the camera and parent unit.
- Find a paperclip or similar tool and insert it into the reset button hole on each device.
- Hold the button down for at least 3 seconds, then release it.
- Wait for the camera and parent unit to reboot. The process is complete when the light is solid red.
- You can then add your camera and parent unit again by following the steps within the app.
